Planned Programme

Q: How do I attend talks?

A: All talks will be online via Teams.  Links are sent out with the confirmation email when you RSVP below, and as a backup the Teams link will be published at least 24 to 48 hours in advance within the members area of the website, so make sure you are signed up! (see the sign up option in the top toolbar).

The preferred method is to use the RSVP buttons below to give us an idea of numbers, however this is not compulsory except for the interview evening!

Q: How often are talks?

A: We aim to provide several short, condensed talks In November/December as in our experience the programme drags on if there are too many evenings!  This also allows people to dip in and out of talks.   In January we will run an interview practice evening.  This timeline matches the Anaesthetic National Recruitment timeline (applications in November, interview in January).

Q: What will the talks cover?

A: We cover a variety of topics relevant to our aims of giving foundation doctors a taste of Anaesthetics / ICM and supporting applications.  Past topics include application overview, MSRA tips, ICM, pain medicine, day in the life (trainee and consultant), PHEM, Academia, FY3 experiences.  We also finish each talk with a friendly Q&A session and general discussion.  Drop us an email if there is anything you would be interested in hearing about!

Topics will be confirmed in advance, however we sometimes need to change last minute due to clinical commitments!
